My opinion of her did NOT change until the Convention, and didn't REALLY change until Obama took Office and she became Secretary of State. But you may now consider me impressed. And I'd just love to see her deck Sarah Palin. Just once...

I HAVE, AS OF LATE, BEEN COMPLETELY TURNED OFF FROM THE POLITICAL DOWNWARD SPIRAL THAT IS THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. I CAN'T EVEN WATCH ANY OF THE NEWS SHOWS I USED TO BE GLUED TO BECAUSE IT USUALLY TAKES UNDER 3 MINUTES BEFORE I GET REALLY PISSED OFF.

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW YET, BARACK OBAMA ACTUALLY WON TEXAS. THE SAME WAY HE ACTUALLY WON NEVADA BY DELEGATES. IN TEXAS, HILLARY WON THE POPULAR VOTE, BUT OBAMA WON THE MOST DELEGATES, 99 TO HER 94. ALTHOUGH THE MAJOR NEWS OUTLETS WILL NOT REMOTELY SUGGEST THAT CLINTON DID INDEED LOSE ONE OF THE TWO "BIG MUST-WIN" STATES SHE CLAIMS TO HAVE WON UNTIL MARCH 29th WHEN THE STATE OF TEXAS WILL CERTIFY THESE RESULTS.

AND BARACK IS 20 POINTS DOWN IN PENNSYLVANIA RIGHT NOW. SO, WHEN HE COMES BACK TO CUT THAT MARGIN THREE FOLD AND MAYBE EVEN WIN, I AM QUITE SURE THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN WILL PUSH YET ANOTHER STATE ASIDE TO SAY THAT HE IS THE FRONT RUNNER SO THEY EXPECTED THIS TO HAPPEN.

BOTTOM LINE IS THAT OBAMA IS AHEAD IN THE POPULAR VOTE, IN THE DELEGATE COUNT, AND IN THE STATES WON ACROSS THE COUNTRY. WHAT AMAZES ME IS THAT THE CLINTON'S SEEM TO WANT TO BRING DOWN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY BY RIPPING US IN HALF. I DON'T SEE OBAMA OR ANY OF HIS PAID SURROGATES PERSONALLY ATTACKING HILLARY'S CHARACTER. BUT EVERYTIME I TURN ON THE TV THERE IS A NEW STORY ABOUT HER, HER HUSBAND, OR ONE OF THEIR PAID SURROGATES SAYING UNNECESSARILY RUDE COMMENTS ABOUT OBAMA THAT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ISSUES.

I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN WILL CHEAT, LIE AND STEAL THEIR WAY INTO THE NOMINATION. CLEARLY THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO STOOP TO ANY LEVEL TO CAST OBAMA IN A BAD LIGHT. THANKFULLY HE CHOOSES NOT TO PERSONALLY ATTACK HER BACK BUT THE DAMAGE IS DONE REGARDLESS. AND I FOR ONE, WILL NOT VOTE FOR A CHEATER, A LIAR AND A CANDIDATE WHO COMPROMISES THEMSELF BY CONSISTENTLY CHOOSING TO BE SURROUNDED WITH LOW-LIFE BULLY'S AND PEOPLE WHO THINK THAT IT IS OKAY TO SAY OR DO ANYTHING TO GET ELECTED. I ALREADY DID THAT IN 2000. AND I THINK IT'S AN OBVIOUS UNDERSTATEMENT TO SAY THAT I LEARNED A BIG LESSON BY DOING THAT IN 2000. CLINTON IS RUNNING HER CAMPAIGN LIKE GEORGE W. BUSH. WHICH BRINGS THE QUESTION... HOW CAN YOU CLAIM YOUR TIME AS FIRST LADY IN THE LAUGHABLE 35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE YOU TOUT AS YOUR MAJOR STRENGTH AGAINST YOUR OPPONENT WHEN YOU REFUSE THE RELEASE THE DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO VALIDATE THAT "EXPERIENCE"?? IN THE OBAMA'S 2006 TAX FILINGS IT IS LEGALLY PROVEN THAT THEY PAID OFF THEIR JOINT STUDENT LOANS BETWEEN 2005-2006. I FEEL LIKE I WILL PAYING MINE OFF FOREVER. IT'S NICE TO KNOW THAT THE PERSON I SUPPORT AS PRESIDENT KNOWS WHAT THIS FEELS LIKE.

IT'S CALLED BEING IN SYNC WITH THE AVERAGE AMERICAN'S PROBLEMS. WHILE BILL CLINTON HAD A ROUGH UPBRINGING HIS WIFE DID NOT. SHE MAY HAVE WORKED (ACTUALLY IT WAS AN INTERNSHIP, BUT WHY BOTHER CLARIFYING) FOR THE CHILDREN'S DEFENSE FUND FOR A SINGLE YEAR, BUT TO SUGGEST THAT SHE HAS ANY CLUE AS TO THE PLIGHT OF THE AVERAGE AMERICAN IS RIDICULOUS. HER "35 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE" ARGUMENT ONLY PROVES TO ME THAT SHE HAS SPENT 35 YEARS LEARNING HOW TO BE A GOOD POLITICIAN. NOT THAT SHE HAS LEARNED WHAT THE EVERYDAY AMERICAN DEALS WITH. I COMPARE IT TO ONE SUPERVISOR I HAVE HAD WHO HAD BEEN IN HER POSITION AND OUT OF THE ACTUAL FIELD ACTUALLY WORKING WITH CLIENTS FOR SO LONG THAT SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT PEOPLE TODAY ARE DEALING WITH. NEITHER OF THESE CANDIDATES WILL REACH THE NECESSARY DELEGATE COUNT BEFORE THE CONVENTION. IT'S A MATHEMATICAL IMPOSSIBILITY. BUT WE ALL KNOW WHO IS AHEAD IN ALL CATEGORIES AND WHO WILL REMAIN AHEAD UNLESS OBAMA LOSES EVERY SINGLE STATE BY 40-50% THROUGHOUT THE REMAINDER OF THIS PROCESS. AND IF THE CLINTON'S THINK THEY CAN MANIPULATE THEIR WAY INTO THE NOMINATION COME CONVENTION TIME AND AFTER LOSING THE MOST STATES, BEING BEHIND IN THE DELEGATE COUNT AND IN THE POPULAR VOTE THEY ARE CRAZY TO THINK THAT THEY WILL WIN THE GENERAL ELECTION AND EVEN CRAZIER IF THEY THINK THAT THEY WILL NOT BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE (ALONG WITH HOWARD DEAN, OF COURSE)FOR HANDING JOHN McCAIN A WIN IN NOVEMBER AND CAUSING A MAJOR TEAR WITHIN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AS A WHOLE BY STEALING THIS NOMINATION FROM OBAMA. AND, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WHEN YOU HAVE RUSH LIMBAUGH ON AIR DAILY ENCOURAGING HIS DEVOTED REPUBLICAN AUDIENCE TO VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON SO THAT McCAIN CAN BEAT HER TO A PULP IN NOVEMBER (MEANING OBAMA CAN ACTUALLY BEAT McCAIN) YOU MIGHT WANT TO START LOOKING AT THE BIG PICTURE CALLED YOUR PATHETIC, GRASPING AT STRAWS AND 110% NEGATIVE CAMPAIGN AND RE-THINK WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR PARTY.

FIRST OF ALL, ISN'T THAT WHAT CANDIDATES ARE SUPPOSED TO DO?? AND SECONDLY, HASN'T SENATOR CLINTON BEEN GIVING THE SAME GENERAL ELECTION SPEECHES FOR A YEAR NOW?? WHATUP WITH THE DOUBLE STANDARD!! ALSO IT IS WORTH NOTING THAT IT TOOK ME 20 MINUTES TO REMEMBER THE TERM "DOUBLE STANDARD" IN THE PREVIOUS SENTENCE.

AND SINCE WHEN IS OBAMA THE "ESTABLISHMENT" CANDIDATE??? THAT'S REALLY LAUGHABLE, EXCEPT THAT'S WHAT THE CLINTON'S ARE CALLING HIM THESE DAYS. HOW FUNNY THAT BARACK OBAMA HAS BEEN BRANDED THE ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATE AGAINST ANYONE WITH THE LAST NAME CLINTON. JUST MY OPINION.

CALL ME CRAZY BUT ISN'T THE PRINCIPLE OF THESE TWO NETWORKS ERRORS ALMOST THE SAME THING?? ACTUALLY, I WOULD CALL THE FOX NEWS REPORT SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE, SINCE SEVERAL PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE THIS MADE UP STORY TO BE ACCURATE. BUT HEY. THAT'S JUST ME.

Okay, so I felt the need to blog about several incidents that occurred tonight within a very short period of time. VERY. RANDOM. THINGS.

First of all, I have completely fallen off the diet wagon. I really think I will get back on it, but there's only so much of "tomorrow is another day" before it just gets ridiculous. I mean today was a new day, and yesterday was too, etc. etc... So that's out there now. I confess.

So I definitely decided to cheat tonight although it was the only time I ate today, and I ordered a cheeseburger from Outback Steakhouse. Thank GOD for curbside takeaway.

Well on the way to satisfy my cheating self, I hit something with my car and it sounded really loud. In the event you went to high school with me, you might remember the time I ALMOST hit a squirrel on the way to school and was so hysterical by the time I arrived that the Assistant Principal Mr. Dean sent me home with an excused absence. Mind you, I DID NOT actually hit the squirrel.

I don't handle hitting things well. I am constantly thinking that I have just killed someone's beloved animal (that shouldn't be running around loose outside anyways) and that some child is going to be devastated because of me. And I have NEVER actually hit an animal, but it's always in the back of my mind that it could happen.

So I was absolutely for sure that I had just run over someone's pet, and I parked in the closest driveway in sight and ran around trying to find it. It was dark. It was raining. It was super windy. I was crying. Really crying. I couldn't find anything. I heard no whimpering, no rustling, no nothing. SHEER SILENCE. Except for my muffled crying, of course. I turned around baffled thinking I would come back and check again for any signs of life from the animal I could not find that I probably just maimed. As I reached my car I happened to pass by the front of my vehicle and what did I find that I had indeed hit with such fury???

A BRANCH

Yep. That's right. A Branch full of leaves. And it wasn't even a big branch.

I figured this was karma for the whole cheating thing, so I decided during my food pick-up wait time to drop by the grocery store and buy some healthy alternatives to start anew tomorrow. No sooner did I have my favorite water in the whole world, and my weight watchers yogurt in my basket heading towards the self checkout lane did I stop for one very brief moment to look at magazines on a standing rack near the front of the store. At this exact moment the automatic doors opened and the wind knocked over not just the magazine rack I was standing at, but every single standing rack within 10 feet of me. And of course I was the only one standing there, so it looked like I had gone into a rage and ripped the store apart. While the two cashiers standing nearby knew that it obviously wasn't my fault every other customer in the Grocery Store who came to look at the ruckus taking place surely thought I was responsible, since I literally had packs of sweet tarts clinging to my sweater. It takes a lot, and I mean A LOT for me to get seriously embarrassed, but it's more than fair to say this experience definitely passed that test.

I came home and watched American Idol and it occurred to me with all this political stuff going on I haven't given any significant AI commentary lately. So, I definitely do not remember any of the contestants since my last Idol post, but I do remember last night and tonight. Last night the girl whose name I believe was Asia made me bawl my eyes out. She was the one who had just lost her Dad. And then the last guy who was from Morristown with his big heavy Tennessee accent?? I really hoped he would do well after the whole homeless and living in a car thing, and especially because he is from a town 40 minutes away from here, but WTF was up with that singing in a British accent???? I am still perplexed at this very moment. I am thinking that he may have had a consult with Britney before this performance to ensure he had his accent down pat.

And then tonight I just LOVED that guy whose name I can't pronounce who came back after not making it last year. I also liked the last guy too who came back after last year... the skinny kid who sang "Rollin' on the River"... although I have some really serious concerns that he may become this years' Sanjaya. And GOD knows there could be nothing worse than that.

On the Britney front, I really cannot believe she got released from the hospital today. She REALLY needed those 14 extra days in that hospital and I don't know who in the world allowed her release, but if it was her Psychiatrist than she is going to have some Professional issues on her hands if something happens. I have worked as a Social Worker with a SIGNIFICANTLY large (easily 200-ish?) amount of people with bipolar disorder and the worst thing about it is that it is totally treatable. Why this is a problem is because while treatable and manageable for the rest of their lives, the biggest issue with people who have bipolar disorder is that the second they stabilize on their meds (which normally takes a minimum of 2 weeks) and are feeling normal again they tend to go off their medicine thinking it's no longer necessary since they feel fine. There is absolutely NO WAY that Britney was stabilized AT ALL during her brief hospital stay and now she is on the loose again with the Paparazzi ALL OVER HER ALL OF THE TIME. I am genuinely concerned that she might die. I certainly hope this is not the case, but she is in really serious trouble. She desperately needs to be in treatment and that treatment needs to be inpatient and long-term. I wish the best for her and her family because they need it.

On a much lighter note, I saw on the news mid-day today that Howard Dean, the Democratic National Committee Chairman said that if the race for the Democratic Nomination goes all the way to the Convention without a winner that he will sit down in a room with both Candidates and basically make one of them concede defeat, without actually being defeated. Hmmm... Wonder who Howard will choose to give in? The Clintons?? Nahhh... My bet is on Obama. And if that happens you can guarantee a Republican win in November. Talk about making people feel like their votes don't count!! Actually you can probably guarantee a Republican win in November if Hillary genuinely wins the Nomination to begin with.

Mere moments after seeing this news report about Howard Dean’s plans I received an e-mail from the DNC urging me to donate to them so that the Democrats can beat John McCain in November. Yes, they actually went ahead and named him as the nominee. I, of course, shot back a fiery e-mail response to the DNC saying what I would and would not do and under what circumstances I would do them under. I'm so sure Mr. Dean got my e-mail. I'm even surer that he cares. In the meantime, I will just continue to give my $10 a month to Barack Obama's campaign. At least they repeatedly thank me for my donation and I know that it's because of millions of small donors like me that he is able to raise so much money for his campaign. I did this last night and felt overwhelmed with pride when the news broke today that he had raised $4 million dollars just since the polls closed yesterday. And just as I checked this to provide a link, that total is now up to $6.5 Million Dollars!! W.O.W.

In other news, Hillary announced today that she had to loan $5 million dollars of her own money and get her Staff to work for free for at least a month in order to compete with Obama's grassroots fundraising capabilities. Guess that's what happens when you get so much of your original donations from Political Action Committees and Lobbyists, who expect something from you in return, instead of getting donations from everyday people.

Either that or she has heavily invested in buying out all of the Shirts and Blazers in every possible shade of yellow in this country...







Is it just me or was that not a very wise decision???

I just don't think she is a "Summer". I would love to get Tim Gunn's off the record commentary on her wardrobe. Seriously.

Anyway, so I have a job interview tomorrow at a Funeral Home to be a Counselor which I have been informed by a friend who works for the Parent Organization of this business, is actually an outside sales position?? That sounds a bit dicey to me, but wish me luck anyways!!

SAD TUESDAY...

Before I get to my synopsis of Super Tuesday, I would like to acknowledge something WAY more important. I entitled this post "Sad Tuesday" because of the tragedies that took place in Mid-Western Tennessee and surrounding States yesterday. I have a very large amount of friends in this area, and have only been in contact with a few of them so far. I have called but only gotten a few responses back. If you are in any of these areas and have not gotten in touch with me please please please do so. My heart and thoughts go out to any and all of those affected.

I'm going to keep this Super-Tuesday thing as brief as I can because I just don't feel great about talking about all this when more important things are going on.

I am quite proud of Senator Obama's performance yesterday. I was really nervous and I did all I could do, and am probably not done yet. I can still phonebank in the upcoming States, and probably get a much better reception in those areas than I did phonebanking in the Washington County area.

KEY POINTS:

Massachusetts: NOBODY expected Obama to win this State regardless of any endorsement anywhere. He did lose it by a significantly LESS margin than he would have a week ago though, when he was far, far behind.

New York: Uhmmm... yeah, so seeing that Hillary is the Junior Senator for this State I would have been floored if he somehow won that State. I will say that he only lost by 17% in the State where she is the Senator.

Arkansas: Hillary spent a LONG time here as the First Lady of the State. And she won by 42% here. Again, she won New York, where she has actually been elected twice by 17%. Maybe she was a better First Lady than she has been as a Senator?? I'm just sayin'...

Illinois: Likewise, I would have been completely shocked if Hillary carried this State where Obama is the Junior Senator. She was actually born and raised here in Illinois as well. Where I see the difference in the two sitting Senators States is the fact that Obama won his State by 31% as opposed to her 17% in New York.

California: Citing all legitimate polls, Clinton led this State by a 2-1 margin at least a week ago. Regardless of any "surge" Obama made in this past week nobody following these races would have suggested that he would have been able to beat her there, especially considering the over 1 million early voting ballots that were cast a month or so ago, when Clinton was considered the front runner of the entire Democratic Party and Obama was not necessarily considered a formidable Candidate. Polls showed that the majority of last minute voters opted for Obama, and the fact that he lost this State by a mere 10% speaks volumes in this regard. In addition, while the delegate count has Obama down by a little under 100 right now, California has only officially given out 66 delegates, all to Clinton, of the total amount of 441 delegates, yet to be figured out.

Also as far as the delegate count goes, I really study this stuff and frankly it baffles me. It appears that few of the States from yesterday's votes have officially pledged the full amount of their delegates from yesterday and I don't get that. I'm guessing that by late tonight or tomorrow the full delegate counts will be in, but I have absolutely no idea what any of this means...

Also, what the hell is a superdelegate??? I have looked into this of course, and think it might be that the 400+ elected officials of Congress and the House of Representatives get to pledge their delegates to whomever they want?? If this is indeed the case, than I would suggest these elected officials actually vote the way the constituents who elected them in the first place voted.

Also I find it hard to swallow that Obama is losing the Latino/Hispanic vote overwhelmingly because of BILL CLINTON and what he did during HIS Presidency... not Hillary herself. That kind of makes me mad.

And for anyone who thought Obama couldn't win the "White" States, I give you not ONLY Iowa, but also Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, North Dakota, and Utah.

In case you were wondering, victory was also claimed in Alabama and Georgia. And Obama is ahead, even if just by a smidge, in New Mexico as we speak.

So, I guess I would say that winning 13 hopefully going on 14 States out of the 22 total from yesterday isn't bad in a day's work. Bring it on February 9th!! And then February 12th back atcha!!

OBAMA CAN WIN ANYWHERE. I KNOW HE CAN...



Also, I must discuss Tennessee. I am actually quite surprised that my State gave Obama 40% of the vote. I would also like to note that in Hamilton County (Chattanooga) Obama beat Clinton by 8%, in Davidson County (Nashville) Obama beat Clinton by 21%, and in Shelby County (Memphis) Obama beat Clinton by 42%. In Knox County (Knoxville... duh) Clinton beat Obama by LESS than 2,000 votes, and in my sadly skewed Washington County he lost by about 2,500 votes.

All IN ALL, 14 OUT OF 22 AIN'T BAD!!!!

Obama said this morning that he is well aware that Hillary is the front-runner and he is the underdog. That's been obvious this entire election cycle. Hillary gave an interview at the beginning of January saying this thing would be decided by Feb. 5th. Well, it's Feb. 6th and we are still standing tall. The more voters get to know Obama the more he takes away from the Clinton name, which is a tough name to beat.

I THINK HE CAN DO IT. I REALLY HONESTLY DO... AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE :-)

I'M SORRY, BUT IF I AM NOT MISTAKEN, SHE FLED THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AND GAVE HER "NOT EVEN CLOSE TO CONCESSION SPEECH" IN NASHVILLE, RIGHT?? WHAT DOES THAT SAY TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORTED HER IN SOUTH CAROLINA... GUESS THEY DIDN'T MATTER THAT MUCH. IF I WAS ONE OF THOSE VOLUNTEERS IN SOUTH CAROLINA THAT CANVASSED THE STATE DAY AFTER DAY FOR HER, I WOULD FEEL LIKE THAT WAS A SLAP IN THE FACE.

BUT THAT'S JUST ME...
